The AD8232 is an integrated signal conditioning block for ECG and other biopotential measurement applications. It is designed to extract, amplify, and filter small biopotential signals in the presence of noisy conditions, such as those created by motion or remote electrode placement.

The error value of detection of a person's fitness level with Sensor Pulse and manual is 2.043%, the sensitivity value is 97.63%, the specificity value is 5.82%, and the accuracy value is 50.35%.

Conclusions. In this work, we benchmarked the AD8232 chip in acquiring the three most common biosignals: ECG, EMG, and EEG. Our findings show that the circuit is suitable for ECG and EMG instrumentation, presenting feasible gain and frequency response.

It can sample up to 2000 Hz (samples/s) without the loss of data in serial cable transmission, and provides a record of the ECG signal for up to 24 h at the sampling rate of 360 Hz.
